Planning 2014 for HUJI students

I’ve upgraded my scheduling script to 2014.
It is located at the same place as the old one (http://www.digmi.org/huji/).

The current data is taken from the university’s website and hasn’t been formally published yet. Changes in the scheduling may occur, take that into consideration.

Planning next year for HUJI students

For all of you HUJI students, As you probably know, for some reason UTime was not updated to the latest “shnaton”.

I got sick of waiting, therefor I’ve made my own scheduling system (which sucking all the information from HUJI’s website, therefor very accurate).

You can find my tool here: http://www.digmi.org/huji/

Known problems:

  • No separation between semesters.
  • Friday not available (is there any course on Friday?)

Please let me know if you find bugs or anything, or whether you got any improvements ideas.

Updates:

  • 05/08/2012: Tootips added.
  • 05/08/2012: Course ID is now displayed.
  • 05/08/2012: Each semester as it’s own tab.
  • 05/08/2012: Fixing RTL and Hebrew day naming.
  • 07/08/2012Timetable is now saved automatically! (It’s saved locally using cookies. Every time you will launch the scheduler it will reload all the information from HUJI’s “shnaton”, so if there have been changes in the “shnaton” the time table will be updated as well)
  • 07/08/2012: Autocomplete and Search for courses! You don’t have to remember all the courses identifiers anymore (Special thanks to Or Sharir for the idea and some tools ).
  • 12/08/2012: Saves added, Now you can save your timetable and share it. After you saved the timetable, click to load it, the URL is unique. You are now able to send it to your friends. Any changes they will make, won’t change your timetable.
  • 16/08/2012: Calculation of how many hours you’ve got each semester!
  • 24/08/2012: Fixing IE bug, now Internet Explorer should work!

HUJI Moodle Latex Fixer

Moodle has an annoying bug, the latex plugin (the one used to display math equations) doesn’t work well with chrome.

For example, The following screen shot was taken from one of my quizzes in moodle:

I’ve written a simple chrome plugin that will fix this annoying problem…

All you need to do is to install this small chrome extension (don’t worry, no spywares or anything). Enjoy!
